There is a continuing and growing recognition of Real Estate as an engine of economic growth. The urban population, which is currently 36% of total population, is expected to rise to 50% in year 2050, as per World Bank population studies. The Ministry of Finance (MOF) has supported the flagship schemes of the Ministry for Housing and Urban Affairs (MOHUA) with budget allocations, together with the push for road, rail and aviation infrastructure as well as power and water-supply networks. In March 2022, the Union Cabinet approved the creation of a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) called National Land Monetisation Corporation (NLMC) in respect of surplus land and building assets of CPSEs. The REDRA law of 2016 has accelerated the Real Estate sector in India towards formalization and corporatization. RBI has supported housing through low interest rate policies and SEBI has enhanced the capital market orientation through REITs. State governments have rationalized stamp duty rates. The enabling environment in unison has enabled the Real Estate sector to rise from the economic slowdown in 2019 and Covid-19, and helped it rediscover its resilience. The Real Estate sector has risen up to avail of opportunities by raising governance standards, attracting foreign and domestic capital and leveraging upon Information Technology.
This Leadership Development Programme (LDP) is aimed that enabling the participants to navigate the changing landscape to lead their Real Estate business organizations and propel them onto the next growth trajectory.
This programme is aimed at decision-makers in senior management positions in member organizations in National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO). The programme is also open to participants from organizations engaged in Real Estate, including policy-makers, professionals and individuals preferably (but not restricted to) those with work experience of 5 years or more.
The programme is aimed at creating thought leaders for leading the Indian Real Estate sector towards the next trajectory of growth in the coming decade. The specific aims are:
The programme will be conducted in-classroom, across 8 (alternate) Saturdays, 4 hours each day, spread across 4 months for a total duration of 32 class hours. The sessions will comprise of interactive lectures delivered by the best of practitioners, curated by top-class academicians and interspersed with practice-oriented case studies. Mock Board Meetings are a unique way of enabling the synthesis of the programme learnings. A Certificate of Completion of the LDP will be conferred from NHSRE, HSNCU, to all successful participants.
